Haircuts that Will Be Poppin' This Year!
A new year is upon us, and with it we must evolve past the questionable quarantine DIY haircuts of 2020. Fortunately, there are some absolute killer hairstyles on the horizon. Here’s what you’ll be seeing everywhere in the coming year.
Modern Shag
Rock ’n’ roll (out of bed) with a retro-inspired modern shag cut. This low maintenance hairstyle is choppy, textured, and gives off a whole lot of sexy and cool attitude.
Blunt Chops
Whether it’s a bob or shoulder-length cut, razor sharp edges will be trending among those who want to revamp and refresh their hair. The blunt edges make hair look super healthy, and the overall effect is dramatic and edgy.
Curtain bangs have been trending for a while now, but a heavier curtain bang will soon emerge. People will opt to add even more face-framing strands, and shorter strands will appear at the top - somewhat resembling a feathered version of traditional bangs.

The bigger the afro the better. Embrace the frizz and ditch the harsh products with a bold, beautiful round afro cut. In general, more natural hair will be favored across the board.
We’ve officially come full circle. Mullets are back for both women and men. The modern version still features choppy and textured hair, complete with bangs, short hair at the front, and longer at the back. Note that this version, however, will also be seen “dressed-up” in a more polished fashion. All in all, mullets give the wearer an effortlessly cool vibe.
Pixie cuts prove that sometimes less really is more. This classic hairstyle will likely find its way back to us in upcoming seasons in multiple variations, such as “long” and feathered or blunt and super short. One thing is for certain: it’s daring and commands confidence. Full disclosure, Dua Lipa is actually wearing a wig in the above photo - but we think she looks stunning!
