It’s finally spooky season! A scary movie night is a great at-home activity that gives you an excuse to curl up under a blanket with a big bowl of popcorn (not like you need one). From aliens, to creepy hosts, to major plot twists - here are a few films that will shock, fright, and thrill you. 

Two couples rent a secluded cabin for a relaxing getaway. But while their partners are asleep, two work colleagues get much closer than they should. As they deal with their guilty feelings, the two get a strange feeling that they are being watched. The question is, who is watching?

Underwater

A crew at a deep underground drilling facility struggles to escape their damaged station after an earthquake. Possibly the only thing more dangerous than being seven miles underwater in a deteriorating rig are the deep sea creatures waiting for them in the water.

An actress and her husband with a troubled past take a vacation with their daughter to a rented home, but something is a bit off about the house. Time passes suspiciously fast and strange occurrences ensue in its winding hallways. As the husband and wife undergo an argument, more about the dark, time-bending home is revealed.

This film features a post-apocalyptic world, where blind extraterrestrial creatures with excellent hearing run rampant. A family must navigate life in absolute silence, so they communicate using American Sign Language. Throughout the film they gather supplies, protect each other, and strategize their safety. 

Life

A crew on the International Space Station receives a soil sample from Mars that contains a dormant cell. The cell quickly multiplies to become a small and mysterious organism that exponentially grows the more food it consumes, but the situation quickly gets out of control. The crew must figure out how to save themselves, and the Earth, from this growing and aggressive threat. 

Guests win a contest and arrive at a place called Fantasy Island, where a strange host informs them that they each are to be granted a fantasy. The catch, as the guests learn, is that these fantasies must be completed, no matter if they end up being nightmares. The result is a hauntingly blurred line between fiction and reality.
