The Best Podcasts for Self Growth
I know I often talk about the magic of Audiobooks (they are very magical!) but sometimes it is hard to commit the time to focus on one book for multiple hours. So to help break things up I often find myself turning to podcasts. They are great for a quick listen and provide endless amounts of entertainment. And of course, the best part is that they are totally free! While I do listen to podcasts of all different genres my most recent favorites have been self help, they have really kept me on track with my goals this year and have helped me with my own growth. Here are just a couple that I can’t get enough of!
The moment I learned the queen herself had started a podcast I immediately hopped on my phone and started binging episodes. In these short form episodes Oprah handpicks her favorite interviews with thought-leaders, best-selling authors, spiritual luminaries, as well as health and wellness experts. Each conversation is designed to help you take those steps toward a better you!
You may recognize Gretchen Rubin’s name as she is the best selling author of The Happiness Project and is on a life long mission of figuring out the answer to the question: How can we be happier? In her podcast she explores this topic and shares her findings with the audience. She also brings her practical, manageable advice about happiness and good habits to help each of us create our own happiness daily.
Optimal Living Daily is more of an audioblog or blogcast where the best blogs are narrated for you for free, so you can get your daily dose of self help articles without scouring the internet for that advice. With a step-by-step approach to personal growth, host Justin Malik takes his listeners on an inspirational, motivational, and educational journey through his findings and is sure to have a topic that will resonate with you and your personal growth.
Of course I had to put this one on the list. Tony Robbins is the #1 Life and Business Strategist in the whole world. His methods have helped people reach their goals in both their personal and professional lives. In his podcast he shares his deep and practical insights into business, health, finances, and relationships along with unreleased audio from his exclusive events.
Breaking old habits and forming new ones can be hard but if you need encouragement to make permanent changes in your life, then The Habit Coach With Ashdin Doctor is for you. Ashdin Doctor takes you through the creation of simple easy to do habits that we can all incorporate into our lives. They focus around, health, sleep, de-stressing, productivity, movement, nutrition and relationships. This podcast is the kick in the butt we could all use to start forming positive habits instead of negative ones.
