3 Simple Nail Art Ideas You Should Try This Winter
1. Pearls
Pearls are having a big moment this year. Since Spring, they've been seen almost everywhere in jewellery, hair clips, headbands, and even clothing. Now this trend has extended to your fingernails, where you can add one or many, and play with different shapes and sizes to create a simple but beautiful manicure. This look is also quite easy to DIY with some flat-back pearls and nail glue.
2. Minimalist
I came across the instagram account @mvk.ua from Ukraine and fell in love with their subtle impeccable manicures. They always start off with a matte milky nude nail then add some barely there graphic designs for a practical but playful, simple but complicated, look. My Christmas nails for this year (shown in the cover photo and at the bottom of this article) were heavily inspired by them. I LOVE.
3. Simple Florals
Florals are also big right now. We saw this print on a lot of items at the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter 2019 runway shows. Putting a simple black flower or plant on your manicure is a great way to add a touch of refined elegance.
Finally, if you put these ideas together you get something like this. I present to you my Christmas 2019 Nails...
I usually go for very over-the-top nails, especially for the holiday season, but this year I'm changing it up with a less-is-more approach (I'll probably add the 'more' with makeup or my outfit). Also, this design isn't too holiday-oriented so it will last me way past Christmas (especially since the nails are nude the grow out period won't look too bad).
Happy Holidays!
