We all have our routines from day to night and everything in between. I myself even have a reading routine. Yes, you heard that right! I love to combine self-care with reading because I truly feel like these things go hand in hand. Here are just a few things to make your reading experience truly magical!

Nothing quite sets the mood like a candle! Whenever I am reading a book I like to light a candle inspired by that book. For instance, if the book takes place somewhere by the ocean I will light a sea-inspired candle, or if a character really loves to bake then a banana bread candle it is! But if all else fails, who doesn’t love a candle that smells like a library filled with old texts. That is the best smell ever!

A cozy pair of socks are just a must-have! This was you can move around to different reading positions without having to worry about your toes freezing off especially in the autumn or winter months. I personally just like a standard sock but around Halloween or Christmas, you can totally catch me with my funky themed reading socks on!

A Super Soft Throw Blanket

I feel like you can’t have a cozy pair of socks and not a soft blanket to throw over your shoulders! How else are you suppose to snuggle up to a good book for hours without freezing!? Blankets feel like warm hugs and sometimes we all need warm hugs while we read!

A Cute Mug

Whenever I know I am wanting to just binge a book, I have to have my fuel! Either tea or coffee will do in this simply adorable mug. As if I need more incentive to down my java, there is the sweetest surprise once you are about halfway through your cup!

A Reading Bean

Okay so I know this sounds silly but trust me, this thing is so handy! It allows you to hold your pages down, make annotations, etc. without worrying about the book tipping over. You can also use this for e-readers, tablets, and much more! Seriously, this thing is so useful plus it comes in so many fun prints!
