In this Spike Lee comedy-drama series based on his breakout film, Nola Darling juggles three lovers while trying to pursue her artistic dreams. Her journey of self-growth and romance exploration is passionate, a bit quirky, and fun to watch.

For the Thrill: 

This crime thriller is based on the true-crime book Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit. In the show, a detective starts a new FBI department to help research and stop serial killers, which includes interviewing imprisoned killers to understand their twisted psychology. 

The excellent cast and campy horror make American Horror Story a must watch. Each season features a different dark storyline in various settings, including a haunted house, an asylum, and a coven. Although it can definitely be spooky, the show has more dramatic and comedic elements than you might expect.
