In celebration of U.S. National Dessert Day on October 14th, we want to share several recipes that prove that vegan desserts can be just as delectable and satisfying as their counterparts. In fact, oftentimes vegan recipes can introduce you to creative ingredients, like alternative milks, that you might not have otherwise thought to use. Whether you are vegan or simply looking for a delicious way to treat yourself, check out these mouthwatering recipes.

Tiramisu Cupcakes

These fluffy tiramisu cupcakes are flavored with dark chocolate, coffee beans, and Biscoff cookie spread - creating the perfect combination of bitter and sweet. Pair this spongy treat with an espresso or dark roast coffee.

Apple Pie Bars

A crispy almond butter crust complements the gooey cinnamon apple filling in these addicting apple pie bars. What’s more, these bars are vegan, paleo, and gluten-free. Go all out by topping a bar with a scoop of vegan ice cream for a mouthful of hot and cold confection.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Pumpkin and chocolate are the dynamic duo of these light and tender muffins. They are incredibly easy to whip up as either jumbo muffins or bite-sized minis.

Apple Cider Donuts

These donuts are baked, rather than fried, so they are a bit lighter than a traditional donut. As the main ingredient, apple cider lends a sweet and crisp flavor. The whole donut is then topped with cinnamon sugar, packing the first bite with tasty texture.

No Bake Turtle Brownies

These brownies are not only vegan and gluten-free, but also “raw,” meaning they don’t require any baking whatsoever. Dates, almonds, and cocoa butter form the sticky “brownie” layer, which is then topped with gooey date and vanilla “caramel.” The bar is then coated with vegan chocolate chips and walnuts, adding a satisfyingly crunchy texture.

Sourdough Cinnamon Rolls

This recipe is the perfect opportunity to try your hand at baking sourdough bread from scratch. Homemade dough, rolled with (vegan) buttery cinnamon sugar, is baked to gooey perfection and then smothered with a vanilla bean glaze.
