Street Style of Spring/Summer Fashion Week 2021
In the fashion world, it is never too early to start preparing for the next season. Fashion collections are shown early to give retail buyers a preview and give the designers time to manufacture incoming orders. There are primarily two Fashion Week seasons: the first is Spring/Summer (SS) Fashion Week in September and the second is Fall/Winter (FW) Fashion Week in February.
With that being said, major fashion capitals around the world have recently hosted their SS Fashion Weeks, attracting photographers and publications to capture models between shows and fashionistas on their way to check out the latest collections. Here are some stunning looks found on the streets during SS 2021 Fashion Weeks in London, Milan, and Paris.
Natural Hair
Texture is in! Fashion aficionados around the world are putting away the heat tools and embracing their natural hair, from tight curls to wind blown waves.
White Boots
Crisp, white boots were a staple at SS Fashion Weeks. Models used them to dress up casual outfits, pairing them with white sunnies, white sweaters, or jeans.
Pops of Pink
It looks like we can expect plenty of pink this spring and summer. Pastel pinks were seen brightening up outfits, from statement blazers to preppy pants.
Platform Boots
Platform boots are adding an extra few inches of style to be reckoned with. From funky 70s-inspired shapes to more modern combat-inspired styles, they elongate the leg and empower the wearer.
Plaid & Tartan
Classic patterns, like plaid and tartan, are seeing a resurgence. While the classic “schoolgirl” style skirt has been spotted, new interpretations are also donning the streets: from draped floor length skirts to mismatched patterned dresses.
Head-to-Toe Jean
This casual fabric has a new dressed-up look for the season. Models are wearing complete jean outfits as well fitted jumpsuits and also embracing unique silhouettes.
