Makeup Trends to Watch Out for This Fall
Makeup this fall will exaggerate the “natural” look and bring attention to the eyes. Although you may find yourself wearing less makeup due to staying home more often, now could be a great time to experiment with how to make yourself stand out from behind a mask or on a zoom call. Here are the makeup trends we’ll be seeing everywhere this season.
Make your skin glisten like it’s wet by adding tons of highlights and moisture. Apply serums under your foundation to create a shiny base and skip makeup powders altogether. Finally, add natural, wet looking highlighters on top. The result is a glowy and dewy look that makes you appear healthy and vibrant. “Wet eyes,” as in glossy looking eyeshadows, are also trending.
Blush is still having its time in the sun. Create a natural flush by layering bright pinks and oranges on the top of your cheekbones and into your temples. Add a dash of color to your nose, forehead, and even your eyelids to make the blush truly appear like a natural flush.
Rose is everywhere: on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. Go for a complete monochromatic rose look by sticking to the same shade across the face. You can’t go wrong with a shiny rose lipstick and a well blended eye and cheek.
The more shine on your pout the better. Hyper glossy lip toppers are all the rage this season, whether it’s a glassy, clear shine or a glittery, color shifting gloss.
Experiment with new eyeliner colors this season, like orange, white, blue, and green. This creates an edgy and graphic effect that is such a statement on its own it allows you to skip eyeshadow altogether. The cherry on top? Your eyes will pop, even while wearing a mask.
